Draconian Mask:
Originally sculpted in an oil based clay.
Made a Silicone mold with plaster jacket.
Hand Rotocast in resin and then hand painted.
Draconian Costume: This simple yet elegant design pulls off the look well. I decided on a boatman's shirt pattern The breaches are simple light cotton fabric with an elastic band. The Jerkin is made to compliment the colors of the mask. The equestrian cape around the waist is designed around the movement of the draconian body and tail. Split up the back for the tail and open at the front for ease to retrieve a hidden weapon. I have a red fox tail hanging off my belt that signifies even though I am a noble I still hunt for my food. Unfortunately its hidden in this picture. I also have a small bag on my belt for necessities.
The reason I went with such a simple design rather than a full body suit this year is because it was going to be a scorcher and I wanted to sell my sculptures and such at fairs while I was in costume. So far its turned out quite well. People love taking pictures of the dragon :)
